  • What are concentrates?

    Concentrates are a great option for consumers looking to increase the intensity of their high, as well as flavor connoisseurs seeking to taste the most exquisite terpene profiles. Most concentrates are named after their appearance. For example, the names shatter, wax, sauce, diamonds and budder all refer to the consistency of the concentrate. While many concentrate products are similar in THC potency, they all have different melting points, terpene profiles and appearances. To use most concentrates you need a rig with a glass nail where you can heat the product so it instantly vaporizes.

  • What is wax/crumble?

    Wax is made the same way other concentrates are made with flower or bud material from the cannabis plant. Hydrocarbon solvent such as, butane is introduced to the plant material to remove the plant’s resin using our closed loop extraction system. The resulting oil is heated at low temperatures and whipped vigorously to remove all residual solvent. Wax is generally drier and more crumbly than its counterpart budder.

  • What is budder?

    Budder is wax with higher moisture content. The consistency of budder is oily and malleable. Budder contains a higher moisture content because it is whipped less than wax, because the product is whipped by hand, it gains airy peaks that are similar to whipped topping or creamy peanut budder.

  • What is shatter?

    Shatter gets its name from its hard, glass-like consistency. This cannabis concentrate contains between 70-80% cannabinoid potency. The process of making shatter starts with dried and cured cannabis flower that is ran through our closed loop extraction system and spread thin onto parchment. It is vacuumed purged with heat to remove the residual solvent and allowed to cool and harden.

  • What is live resin?

    Live resin is made by extracting whole plant cannabis flower that is freshly frozen after harvesting in our closed loop extraction system. By using frozen cannabis material, the finished product has robust, exceptional terpene and cannabinoid profiles that resemble the qualities of the live plant. Live resin ranges in color from light amber to yellow gold and has a moist, shiny looking exterior with a strong, rich smell. Live resin has many different consistencies and naming conventions. For example, live sugar is a form of live resin that looks like an amber sugar patty, while live budder is a smoother, more malleable consistency.

  • What is sauce?

    Sauce is cured, or aged live resin. After the frozen plant material is ran through our closed loop extraction system, the extract is set aside to age and purged of solvents. Genuine terp sauce preserves all of the molecules locked in every trichome for a more complete cannabinoid and terpene extract. This is not just another high-THC concentrate. Terp sauce resembles applesauce with granules of sugar floating in it.

  • What are diamonds?

    When curing our sauce, with the help of heat and pressure the cannabinoid molecules come together and start to grow into crystals. Often called “diamond mining,” because THCA naturally forms into crystals and it can start to look like tiny diamonds. As the crystals form, the terpenes, on the other hand, are pushed-out into a liquid layer. The crystals are THCA and the syrupy liquid is rich in terpenes.

  • What is distillate?

    Starting with a solution containing cannabis we want to isolate, specific heat is applied until the desired ingredient evaporates based on its boiling point. When the vapors cool it condenses back into a liquid, separated from unwanted additives or impurities. This final product is a pure and potent cannabis oil that tests in at around 80-90% THC.

  • What is rosin?

    Rosin is an extraction method that releases resin from an array of cannabis products like; flower, dry sift kief and hash. The rosin process comes from combining high heat and immense pressure to produce a solvent-less hash oil (SHO) via a rosin press. This method brings out the product's oil out from its trichome heads, resulting in a high-terpene, full-melt. Rosin will be a golden yellow sap with high potency.

  • What is aqua?

    Simply put Aqua tech is; adsorbent filtration and chromatography. The name is given for any concentrate that is filtered through the CRC column containing adsorbent media. The process mimics column chromatography and is preformed inline on our closed loop extractor. The end concentrate has a clear to light yellow color and can also be white and opaque. This technique allows us to remove water, heavy metals, solid particulate, and color. We’ve seen elevated terpene levels with this technique testing in the 40-46%. We can produce a wide variety of end products with this; shatter, cured sugar, cured budder, live resin sauce, live resin badder, HTFSE and live resin sugar.

  • What is required for me to be able to buy cannabis products in your store?

    To purchase cannabis products in our store or anywhere in Maryland, you’re required to be 21+ years old and have a valid government-issued ID.     Unfortunately Maryland doesn’t recognize cannabis cards from other states.

  • Do you accept returns from purchases made in-store?

    We accept returns for apparel and accessories. We recommend holding onto all manufacturer packaging and your receipt for 30 days after purchase. Items purchased from dealers or resellers (and not directly from CULTA) are not eligible for return, refund or exchange. Flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals, vapes and pre-rolls are not eligible for return.

  • How do I order my products online?

    When your order is ready for in-store pick-up, a CULTA budtender will contact you to schedule a pick-up appointment. The call may come from an unlisted or blocked number, so be sure to pick up. All orders must include a valid telephone and email address. Orders without a telephone and email address will be forfeited.

  • Do you have a loyalty program?

    We do not currently have a loyalty program but we’re actively evaluating similar opportunities to reward our best patients.

  • Do you have veterans or military discounts?

    CULTA salutes all military service members and is proud to honor them with a 22% discount on purchases with a valid photo ID. Valid identification includes a military or Department of Defense ID card, a VA ID card, a driver’s license with “Veteran” printed on it, or a copy of a DD-214. Clearance and sale items are excluded from this discount.

  • What are the benefits of in-store pop-ups?

    In-store pop-ups allow us to form a strong relationship with your staff and patients. By answering questions and sharing our personal knowledge of the brand, we’re able to encourage brand awareness and increase sell-through on our products. Giving out swag, offering exclusive deals and discounts, and putting a “figure face” to the brand help patients and staff become more engaged with CULTA products.

  • Does CULTA provide in-store pop-up events?

    Yes, we offer a variety of pop-ups and events for our clients, including pop-ups that promote products from CULTA. We also offer experiential pop-ups that focus on dabbing among other subjects. We are here to assist you with educational and sales-oriented pop-ups.

  • Are the in-store pop-up events free?

    In-store pop-up events are free for current accounts. We are happy to provide this service to your patients free of charge. For this reason, we don’t offer any deals or cuts on the back-end. Any deals or specials will come from the account itself.

  • How do I schedule an in-store pop-up event?

    If you would like to schedule an in-store pop-up event, please reach out to your Account Executive via email, phone, or in-person. We will promptly schedule a brand ambassador to be assigned to your account.

  • What is the difference between an in-store pop-up and budtender training?

    In-store pop-ups generally last 2-3 hours and are geared towards interacting with patients, passing out swag, and assisting in explaining our products to patients. Budtender trainings are 1-1.5 hours and are typically held after hours. These training sessions are for managers and budtenders to get a more in-depth understanding of our product lines and how we produce our products. Budtender trainings are extremely helpful and have been shown to increase sell-through on CULTA products.

  • Do you have online product training guides for budtenders?
